Life started for
this 1965 Buick Special Deluxe with a common 300 V8 and two speed transmission with switch-pitch torque converter.
Over 165,000 miles later I decided to pull the original power train and restore the car as a tow vehicle keeping it all Buick
and stock appearing.
Upgrades include a Buick 455 V8 with HEI ignition, front disc brake upgrade, Turbo 400 transmission
with shift kit, rear sway bar with coil over gas charged shocks, air bags in the rear coil springs, Positraction rear differential and
custom fabricated weight distributing hitch.
Restoration took place in 2004/2005 by Silver State Industries (Nevada State Prison work program at Indian Springs, NV) and
was finished just in time to make it to the 25th Anniversary Buick Gran Sport Nationals in Bowling
Green, KY.
